During this period, the institution was the primary training school for Mongolia’s state security structure, preparing elite officer-cadres for the Border Guard, Police, and Intelligence services, continuing traditions established when it operated as the Special Military Academy from 1974 to 1982.
This variation is not commonly encountered, as the academy produced a relatively small number of graduates compared to regular military academies.
